TWIC Cards
Anyone entering a maritime facility must have a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) or be escorted by an approved Port of Greater Baton Rouge TWIC holder.
Possessing a TWIC does not grant automatic access to restricted area facilities. There must be a reason to be on port property and approved for access. TWIC is administered by the Transportation Security Administration. For more information on how to apply for TWIC, go to www.tsa.gov/twic.
U.S. Coast Guard regulations allow for certain non-TWIC holders to be escorted in restricted and secure areas as long as they have a reason to be on the property and are approved for access. Persons being escorted are required to present valid government issued photo identification.
